At Snackrilege, we make unapologetically delicious vegan food & heavy metal themed puns. We are changing the world, one mouth-watering bite at a time.

Founders: Rosalind & Clayton
Rosalind (Roz) and Clayton McCallard (their last name is a portmanteau of their birth surnames, Ballard and McCartney) met in 2007 and immediately bonded over their shared love of metal, puns, and veganism (pretty typical foundations for a marriage, really).
“Snackrilege grew out of our shared passions, and a lot of hard work (and a lot of help along the way, from Rosalind’s sister Natalie teaching her how to make seitan, to all of the designers and creatives who worked for trades and discounts—thank you!) and we are constantly humbled and overjoyed to get to share those passions with the world--with YOU. Thank you for letting us feed you, thank you for supporting small business, and thank you for deriving joy from our puns and sandwiches (we're going to be optimistic and assume you are, in fact, deriving at least a little joy!).”
Our Mission
To make perfectly tasty, affordable, plant-based foods that people can grab-and-go for anytime delicious satisfaction. We won't be satisfied until Snackrilege products are available worldwide. We want to make eating tasty vegan food easy for everyone! Look for our products in the grab-and -go section, and in select stores (with more stores coming soon!) in the freezer section. All our products are non-GMO, we use locally made Portland French Bakery bread and we get many of our ingredients from another local vegan company, Earthly Gourmet that has the same ethics-driven approach to running a company that we strive to achieve at Snackrilege.
We believe in creating a better world for all through veganism. We stand for healthy communities, happy people, and animal rights. We believe that every creature should have the right to a happy and fulfilling life. We believe in delicious food and finding your joy. We believe in having the most fun and doing the most good.
We aspire to live our mission every day--we've raised thousands of dollars for sanctuaries in our area and we're always happy to donate to your non-profit event (5 years in and we've yet to say no to a platter of sandwiches or merchandise for your raffle!). Roz is an active member of the Main Street Alliance, was currently a member of Commissioner Jo Anne Hardesty's Business Council. Roz and Clayton have both spoken at various VegFests and other events, and Roz has presented on councils, panels, and committees on her experience starting a business from the ground up.
